Video Production Battle Van
I have long had a wandering spirit. This was formed in me early in life, as my music-oriented parents traveled often, including two cross-country moves in my childhood. In January of 2020 (luckily just before the world went on lockdown and RV prices went nuts) I realized how much I'd missed that way of life and wanted to find a way to embrace it once again while continuing to develop my business and creative ambitions. And so I decided I would take Ghost Village Films on the road and bought a 1989 Fleetwood Jamboree motorhome for the task.
Originally, I was just going to spruce up the interior and convert the bedroom into a mobile edit suite. Throughout the pandemic years and since, that plan escalated into a full teardown and remodel of the loft and exterior. While some work remains (and likely always will...she is a pirate ship after all), the rig is now operational. The Turtle has been redesigned inside and out, complete with living quarters for myself and 1-3 crew (including Bumper the Sea Dog of course), gear storage for small footprint shoots and remote live-streams, solar power, theater system, mobile internet, recording equipment and workstation.
The mission of the Turtle is one of treasure-seeking: A ongoing quest for beauty and meaning through cultural exploration, curiosity, artistry and adventure filmmaking.
